Making it count

A few blogs that I follow have created a little "New Year" Q&A and I thought it would be a good exercise to really get me started on making 2014 the best it can be. I feel like it's a good way to really get me thinking about what it is I want from this next year and how I can make it be the best possible. So here we go...

1. What is something you want to change, or a goal you want to set for the New Year & what is your plan for making it happen?
My goal for the New year is to completely submerse myself in my marriage and my baby. This past year has been a lot about other people when it should have been about my husband and my little man. Unfortunately, I take some blame because we allowed ourselves to get wrapped up in all of their chaos instead of stepping back. My plan is to remember that I cannot control how other people act, but I can control how I react to them. Keepin' my cool in 2014 is what it's all about...

2. Many people chose a word to reflect on, live by or aspire to for the New Year. Let us know your word, how you decided upon it & how you plan to incorporate it into 2014.
My word for 2014 is "acceptance". Accepting situations as they are, accepting life's curveballs, accepting that I'm not always right. There are a million places I could insert that word into at the moment and that is why I have chosen it.

3. I will make 2014 count by...
By trying to be the best wife and mother I can be. I want to revel in the good and not in the bad. I want to grow as a woman and really embrace life at this moment.

Cheers to the New year. xo
